Improving Every Day

“When I began developing my runway presence, I felt changes happen. I opened up a lot, and I felt myself becoming more comfortable with the idea of me as a model. All of the changes came from working with the Nijah / New Faces Development team.” Dana DePalo was just a regular girl from Lindenhurst, Long Island, or so she believed. Then she was scouted at Adventure Land by Nijah / New Faces Development, and so began her transformation from a shy girl into a runway model.

Dana used the skills taught to her by Nijah / New Faces Development to get the most out of her new career choice. “The acting and runway guidance that they gave me pushed me out of my comfort zone. I didn't expect that I could be a model, because I'm so introverted, but I can say that I actually feel like a model now.” Dana admits that she didn't expect the fashion industry to be something she would really be interested in. “I thought it was going to be hanging out with other models and taking pictures. That part helps, of course, but I've learned so much more about fashion and the industry because of Nijah / New Faces Development.”

Dana hopes to keep using Nijah / New Faces Development to improve as a model. She now sees the potential for a future, and is generating a great deal of interest from agencies in both Japan and New York. Dana continues to cite Nijah / New Faces Development as the reason for her success.
