Talent Transformed

Michael Fleischer was just another teen at his local mall when Nijah / New Faces Development scouted him. Already interested in entertainment but lacking professional experience, Fleischer invested in the talent developmen
t process with Nijah / New Faces Development’s development and his career as an actor and model truly began. After an initial investment in a professional photo shoot, he went from performing at summer camp to juggling an off-Broadway show, The XYZ Files, a new soap opera, Redemption’s Way, and a role in the Digital Film Academy film Black Dog.

The development professionals at Nijah / New Faces Development quickly noticed Fleisher’s natural acting abilities, and his potential as a model. Over several months, Fleisher blossomed through individualized training focused on his own strengths and personal talent, coordinated by Nijah / New Faces Development’s Convention division, Nijah / New Faces Development. Through Nijah / New Faces Development’s network of industry professionals they developed Fleischer’s interest as an actor and he was invited to attend the 2009 IMTA New York Convention. At this event he was given exposure to hundreds of model and talent agents from all over the world.

“It’s just so incredible the amount of attention that you’re given, and if it wasn’t for the development I had beforehand, I wouldn’t have gotten so much out,” says Fleischer, who would know – he was named honorable mention for Male Actor of the Year at IMTA 2009. “The Nijah / New Faces development's development process gives you the right tools to push, but you really gotta be willing to put in 110%,” says Fleischer.

During the talent development process at Nijah / New Faces Development, Fleischer met his current acting coaches, Joan Stephens and Susan Loughran, whom along with Nijah / New Faces Development he credits with his preparedness at IMTA. “It was thanks to Nijah / New Faces Development and the people I met through them that my career started moving in the right direction,” says Fleischer.

About his decision to invest in his own career, Fleisher says, “At the time it was confusing but my parents supported me, now I’m staring an off-Broadway show. If you’re trying to get into the field and you’re willing to put in the effort, then yes – this is the right path to go on. If it wasn’t for Nijah / New Faces Development I wouldn’t be where I am right now,” says Fleischer. “Nijah / New Faces Development led me to IMTA which led me to this.”
