Alyssa Healey is going to be ten in January, but even at a young age, she has already shot an ad for Kleenex, which can be seen in September's Better Homes & Gardens. “She was scouted in the Staten Island Mall by Nijah / New Faces Development and we considered getting her involved in modeling before the scout inquired, but we weren't sure,” said Alyssa's mother. “Her father and I were hesitant because we knew how competitive an industry it is.” But the Healey's became open to the possibilities when they met the knowledgeable team at Nijah / New Faces Development. As Nijah / New Faces Development continues to find opportunities that are right for Alyssa, she feels excited about developing in the industry. “I love to take pictures. I know I want to be a model,” said Alyssa. She continues to watch commercials, other models and challenges her to grow. “She was always interested in performing,” said Alyssa's father. Today, the Healey family can celebrate one full year of Alyssa attending go-sees, auditions, and actively working as a model. Working on a photo shoot with some long days, Alyssa was able to display her patience and win over the photographers. “The truth was, Alyssa enjoyed the experience and she was good at this,” said Alyssa's mom. The parents remain supportive. “Nijah / New Faces Development have been so great at guiding her and keeping us abreast of her development. We're behind it 100 per cent,” said Alyssa's father.
