Standing Out From the Crowd

“Being chosen for the tour was easier because of the development I received from Nijah / New Faces Development,” said singer, dancer and actress Kyra Green about being selected from thousands of talented kids to star in Nickelodeon's “Kidz Bop” summer tour. Despite being discovered at age 10 by a Nijah/New Faces Development scout in New York City, it wasn't until Kyra’s parents saw the company would be able to provide the opportunities she needed to be successful in this business, that they committed. At Nijah / New Faces Development, Kyra sharpened her skills and developed the art of presenting herself at auditions. After the initial development process, Kyra was offered the opportunity to attend an international modeling event.

Her father, fashion designer Derek Green, remembers his daughter’s personality before all the development began. “Kyra was always interested in entertainment, but Nijah / New Faces Development brought her out of her shell. After the experience, Kyra can now put herself out there and get noticed. Now she has the confidence to tour nationwide.”

After one year of model and talent development with Nijah / New Faces Development, Kyra was placed with CESD and won the 2008 Female Model of the Year for her age group at the event. She regularly has modeling go-sees and auditions, where she puts her newly developed talents to use. “Nijah / New Faces Development is definitely worth it. After all the exposure they got for me, I'm doing the things I only dreamed about!” She explained. Kyra is still dreaming big, as she was recently placed by Nijah / New Faces Development with IMG. She is continuing to pursue development, challenging herself and sharpening her competitive edge.
